We have taken up this petition and considered the prayer made in the petition. Upon hearing the learned counsels appearing for the parties, we had passed certain orders earlier. We had also constituted a committee of experts to consider the suggestions given by the petitioner. All the suggestions have been considered and report thereon has been submitted. Some of the suggestions have been found to be worthwhile and directions were issued for their implementation. We make the Director of Health Services responsible for implementation of the said recommendations/suggestions in accordance with the law, within eight weeks from today.

Further suggestions given by the petitioner in the summary of prayers placed before us today shall also be considered by the concerned Ministry and also by the Director of Health Services and thereafter, steps shall be taken for implementation of such suggestions which can be implemented, within eight weeks from today.

Since this is not an adversarial litigation, we direct that suggestions given by the petitioner or any other party for betterment of the treatment of people suffering from TB should be considered by the concerned authorities.

In terms of the aforesaid order the petition stands disposed of.
